What we collect, what we don't, what we'll do if you ask. Updated August 2026. Questions go to hello@arborember.com.

01Overview

Updated August 2026

Arbor & Ember is a Texas-based home styling company. We collect the smallest set of information we need to design, install, and remove the work we do for you. Nothing more.

This page is plain language because the alternative is bad writing. If anything below is unclear, write to hello@arborember.com and we will rewrite it.

02What we collect

Updated August 2026

When you book, we collect your name, address, phone number, email, package and add-ons, installation date, removal date, service notes, promo code, consent records, and photography choice. We also retain before-and-after property-condition photographs for service records. When you pay, our payment processor collects card details directly. We never see or store full card numbers.

When you visit the site, Google Analytics uses cookies or similar identifiers to collect page views, referring pages, site interactions, approximate location, and browser and device information. Our hosting and error-monitoring providers may also process technical request, route, performance, and error information needed to host and repair the site. We do not intentionally send booking form contents, service addresses, service notes, or payment card information to Google Analytics.

When you message us, we keep the message and our reply for as long as we keep customer records.

03How we use it

Updated August 2026

Your booking information is used to confirm both service dates, route the crew, and complete installation and removal.

Your contact information is used for the seasonal letter only if you've subscribed, and for service-related notes such as weather changes and an on-the-way message. We do not sell, trade, or rent it.

Google Analytics is used to understand site traffic and booking conversion. Technical diagnostics are used to keep the site reliable and repair errors. We do not use either one to retarget advertising.

04Sharing

Updated August 2026

We share information only with providers that help us process payments, store orders, schedule crews, send transactional messages, host and repair the site, and measure site traffic through Google Analytics. Each receives only what it needs for that work.

We do not share your address with third-party advertisers. We do not appear in data broker exchanges. We will share information when a court orders us to, and not before.

05Cookies & analytics

Updated August 2026

Google Analytics may set first-party analytics cookies, including a random client identifier, to distinguish visits and measure how the site is used. We do not use Google Ads, advertising pixels, or analytics audiences for retargeting.

You can block analytics cookies without breaking the booking flow.

06Your choices

Updated August 2026

You can ask us for a copy of eligible records, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them. Write to hello@arborember.com with the subject line 'Records request' and we'll respond within 30 days. Booking agreements and tax or dispute records may be retained for up to seven years; property photography follows the retention and removal choices in your booking terms.

You can unsubscribe from the seasonal letter using the link at the bottom of any issue. Service emails about an active booking will continue.

07Children

Updated August 2026

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone in that age range. If you believe a child has submitted information, write to us and we will delete it.

08Changes

Updated August 2026

We update this page when we change anything material. The date at the top moves with every update. Changes that affect existing customers are also sent by email.
