What we collect, what we don't, what we'll do if you ask. Updated April 2026. Questions go to hello@arborember.com.

01Overview

Updated April 2026

Arbor & Ember is a Texas-based home styling company. We collect the smallest set of information we need to design, install, and remove the work we do for you. Nothing more.

This page is plain language because the alternative is bad writing. If anything below is unclear, write to hello@arborember.com and we will rewrite it.

02What we collect

Updated April 2026

When you book, we collect your name, address, phone number, email, and the package and date you've chosen. When you pay, our processor (Stripe) collects card details directly. We never see or store full card numbers.

When you visit the site, we collect aggregate analytics: pages viewed, the device class, and a coarse city-level location. We do not associate this with your name unless you've also booked or signed up for the seasonal letter.

When you message us, we keep the message and our reply for as long as we keep customer records.

03How we use it

Updated April 2026

Your booking information is used to confirm the install, route the crew, send you the day-of arrival window, and follow up on removal.

Your contact information is used for the seasonal letter only if you've subscribed, and for service-related notes (a weather delay, a same-day arrival window) regardless. We do not sell, trade, or rent it.

Aggregate analytics are used to understand which surfaces convert and which need rework. This is a craft tool, not a profile of you.

04Sharing

Updated April 2026

We share information only with the vendors that help us run the business: Stripe (payments), Postmark (transactional email), Vercel (hosting and edge logs), and a calendar provider for crew scheduling. Each one has a privacy posture at least as strict as ours.

We do not share your address with third-party advertisers. We do not appear in data broker exchanges. We will share information when a court orders us to, and not before.

05Cookies & analytics

Updated April 2026

The site uses a small set of first-party cookies to remember your booking session and a privacy-respecting analytics product (Plausible) that does not set tracking cookies and does not build a cross-site profile.

You can block cookies in your browser without breaking the booking flow.

06Your choices

Updated April 2026

You can ask us for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@arborember.com with the subject line 'Records request' and we'll respond within ten business days.

You can unsubscribe from the seasonal letter using the link at the bottom of any issue. Service emails about an active booking will continue.

07Children

Updated April 2026

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone in that age range. If you believe a child has submitted information, write to us and we will delete it.

08Changes

Updated April 2026

We update this page when we change anything material. The date at the top moves with every update. Changes that affect existing customers are also sent by email.
